Advanced imaging of dynamic ECM – cell interactions using genetically encoded live-reporters during cell migration in development and in adult tissues (A03)

Novel extracellular matrix (ECM) reporter alleles in mouse were developed that allow for visualization of cell – ECM interactions. These are used to study basement membrane invasion during EMT at gastrulation and for functional studies of cell – ECM interactions for the mesenchymal and amoeboid migration of macrophages within their native, adult tissue environments using advanced in vivo live microscopy.
