In our “Zentralprojekt” we have concentrated the financial aspects of the anticipated Conferences that we want to organize jointly. We also have placed here some of the activities that will be of technical importance for the fruitful collaboration between the groups. Important issues here are the planned stays of carefully selected visiting scientists from abroad. They shall help and support us with their specific expertise in tackling the important goals of our project. In addition we have planned to organize two types of annual conferences: first the “Rothenberge Conferences”. These shall be organized as meetings of the participating groups themselves outside of Münster. The Rothenberge Conferences will have a workshop character, emphasising a lot on discussion between the partners. Then we want to hold one relatively large international conference per year focussing on our general topic. These shall be held once in Germany (München) and twice in Switzerland. The costs for attending (or organizing) these conferences of the German participants are summarized in this “Zentralprojekt”. Then there are the costs concerning the collaboration with Professor Scherer who is so kind to do the necessary neutron diffraction studies for our joint project. We have filed the costs for taking care of the current costs for this “scientific service” that is very valuable for us. Last but not least there are the general running costs associated with the collaborative nature of our proposal, among them salaries for students or young researchers doing services such as establishing and maintaining our specific website, their help and assistance with organizing and carrying out the conferences, and to organize the exchange of information between the groups. All these costs can be found listed and assigned to specific sub-issues on pages 28/29 of our proposal.
