Project Details
Quantitative und funktionelle Analysen der Proteomveränderungen während chronischer Virusinfektionen (Z03 (A05))
Subject Area
Virology
Term
from 2009 to 2018
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 47100475
The central project is integrated in the bigger project as a service platform for proteomics and primary cell cultures, available for all collaboration partners. In the proteomics part the bioanalytics services, implying all aspects starting from sample preparation to state-of-the-art mass spectrometric analyses will be offered. Additionally, the implementation of proteomics-related bioinformatics and statistics services is intended in the proposed funding period. The second task of the project will be to provide primary cells from visceral organs as well as immune cells from humans and mice. The lamina propria aggregate culture model that will be provided is suitable for efficient human immunodeficiency virus infection in vitro. Furthermore, an in vitro infection model is offered, in which cell-culture-derived Hepatitis B viruses are used to infect primary human hepatocytes. In addition to the services, this project is also imbedded in a broad network of scientific collaborations.
