Theory of spatio-temporally resolved optical dynamics - excitation, propagation and detection of elementary processes in hybrid-nanostructures

Applicant Dr. Marten Richter
Subject Area Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics
Term from 2009 to 2016
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 137379438

Inhomogeneous spatio-temporal excitation of elementary excitations can be used to study the dynamics of transport phenomena within hybrid nanostructures. In particular, we focus on the theoretical description of(a) the femtosecond excitation transfer on a nanometer scale in metal- semiconductor-hybrid structures, as well as(b) the internal dynamics of compound elementary excitations.
