Projektbeschreibung

Promising candidates for thermoelectrics have been identified from systematic studies of the phase relations in ternary intermetallic phases. The potential of these candidates for thermoelectrics is restricted due to their large thermal transport. We apply four different strategies to decrease the thermal transport in these intermetallic phases: (a) synthesis of nanostructured CoSb3 and skutterudite-type La1-xCo4-yFeySb12 (0
