Project Details
Constitutive friction law for the description and optimization of tailored surfaces (C01)
Subject Area
Mechanics
Term
from 2009 to 2020
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 68237143
Aim of the project is the development of tailored tribological systems, for example by the adaption of the geometry of workpiece- and tool-sided lubricant pockets. In order to numerically analyse the tribological conditions, the constitutive friction law will be linked to the FEM. Additionally, the behav-iour of tailored tribological systems along the production time will be numerically and experimentally investigated. To identify the functioning of the different tribological measures, the experimental and numerical methods are comprehensively used. Based on these results, generalizable knowledge for the application of tailored tribological systems in sheet-bulk metal forming is derived.
