Endoscopic geometry inspection by modular fibre-optic sensors (B06)

Subject Area Production Systems, Operations Management, Quality Management and Factory Planning
Term from 2009 to 2020
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 68237143

Project Description

In project B6 “Endoscopic geometry inspection” a measurement system based on the fringe projec-tion principle and flexible image guides is built and researched. The compact dimensions of the sen-sor head allow for an inspection of tool geometries in forming machines. Basic elements of the pro-ject B6 are the optical set-up of the fringe projection unit, the design of custom sensor heads for the measuring task and the development of image processing algorithms suitable for the evaluation of fringe patterns in consideration of the transmission behaviour of the applied optical elements.
