Project Details
Improvement of combined cutting and deep drawing processes by means of overlaying dynamic process forces (A07)
Subject Area
Primary Shaping and Reshaping Technology, Additive Manufacturing
Term
from 2009 to 2020
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 68237143
The aim of this project is to investigate the effects of dynamic process forces of the machine´s main flow on the combined shear cutting and drawing processes for the production of complex sheet bulk metal components with multiple secondary design elements. Based on the results of the second phase the influence of the oscillation parameters on friction and component surface quality is examined. A realistic tool wear for superimposed oscillated sheet bulk metal forming process will be numerically depicted. Finally, a methodology is developed in order to draw conclusions related to the component usage by application of the residual deformability.
