Project Details
STAT-Activation in T-cell growth transformation (B01)
Subject Area
Virology
Term
from 2009 to 2017
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 52732026
Gammaherpesviruses are associated with lymphoproliferative malignancies and they encode vFGARAT tegument proteins homologous to the cellular purine synthesis pathway PFAS. This project will elucidate their protein structures, it investigates how vFGARATs ND10 factor (ATRX, DAXX, Sp100) mediated chromatin remodeling modulates viral genome activity, and how the identified cellular targets of vFGARAT influence the DNA damage response, cancer development and immune evasion.
