Nox4 as a redox switch in epigenetics and metabolism (A01)

Subject Area Anatomy and Physiology
Term from 2009 to 2020
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 61867463

Project Description

The NADPH oxidase Nox4 mediates cellular differentiation, maintains endothelial quiescence and regulates angiogenesis by controlling the expression of Hif1α. In the new funding period we will focus on the following key aspects: 1. Identification the role of Nox4 in differentiation from iPSCs into endothelial cells. 2. Identification of Nox4s role in Hif1α expression and 3. Analysis of the role of Nox4 in metabolomics control.
